5/14/26, WFRV Green Bay – In the first of several Turn Out for Transportation roundtable events across the state, Appleton officials gathered to discuss the progress and challenges of transportation statewide.

The event brought out numerous local officials, including Appleton Mayor Jake Woodford, Brown County Highway Commissioner Chris Hardy, and Transportation Development Association (TDA) Executive Director Debby Jackson.

“We need to be involved in discussing our transportation system, it’s the foundation of our economy and how we can ensure we get to work safely, keep our economy moving, and it’s how many people feed their families,” Jackson said.

The roundtable is the first of many, with additional ones slated throughout May in La Crosse, Eau Claire, Wausau, Oak Creek, and Janesville.
