Transportation Development Association Executive Director Debby Jackson released the following statement on Governor Evers’ budget plan:

“TDA applauds the Governor for proposing the enumeration of the critical I-94 East-West Corridor project and the establishment of a multimodal local transportation grant program. Both items help communities and the state improve vital economic connections.

“Transportation is crucial to support Wisconsin industries and businesses with their recoveries and get Wisconsinites back to work. Transportation investment moves everything.

“After decades of disinvestment, the 2019-21 state budget slowed the decline of system conditions. Wisconsin needs to maintain the progress made in the current budget and build on it. TDA members look forward to working with the Governor and Legislature on the bipartisan goal of growing and strengthening the Wisconsin economy.”
